One of the enemies will go before you and you will second. Since you are in act 2 enemies will start to have higher initiative stats. Ex: You are level 12 but still only have the base 10 points invested in wits so your initiative is 10. It is imo most easily seen in an example of playing solo with no initiative investment. With the way turn order works in this game it is impossible to have multiple members of your party take turns directly after one another (excluding the delay turn mechanic) So even if you have a full party of 4 with max points invested into wits the turn order would still come out to your highest initiative member, enemy, next highest, enemy, 3rd, enemy, 4th, rest of enemies. Now you are clear minded: You, an enemy, Your friend. Original turn probably went in this order: Your friend, an enemy, You. However due to the broken nature of the initiative stat and turn order you effectively took your friends spot and pushed him back. Next round you are now clear minded which gives an initiative buff causing you to move up in the turn order and now you move before your friend, simple enough so far. Your friend went before you in turn order and when it comes your turn you cast peace of mind.
